Our History

1990    Tateossian Limited is formed in London, in November, by Robert Tateossian.
1991    The first men's collection is launched at SEHM International Trade Show in Paris and Barneys New York immediately orders the collection.
1994    Tateossian introduces the watch cufflinks which instantly become a global hit. The brand is awarded the British Fashion Export Award and a global distribution network is achieved by way of 12 trade shows per season.
1996    Tateossian wins The Greatest Hits of the Year Award, presented by Begin Magazine, Tokyo.
1997    Tateossian is presented with the Global Award for Design at the International Marketing Show in Cannes, France.
1999    Tateossian opens a showroom in New York, on Fifth Avenue.
2000    Tateossian opens the first corner concept in Hong Kong, at Lane Crawford.
2001    The company is awarded the British Fashion Export Award for the second time. The flagship store concept is opened in the exclusive Royal Exchange, in the City of London. The shop-in-shop concept is opened at Ships, in Shibuya and Ginza, Tokyo.
2004    Tateossian opens a second flagship store, on London's King's Road and moves its current headquarters to Imperial Wharf, in London's Chelsea Harbour.
2006    Tateossian is awarded the British Fashion Export Award for the third time. The company opens a corner site within Harvey Nichols Department Store, in London. A stand-alone store in opened in Orchard Road, Singapore.
2007    Tateossian opens a corner site within Tsum Department Store, Moscow.
2008    Tateossian opens at Westfield Mall in London.

Thanks to an increasing reputation for quality and a wise company management, Dino Bigioni made his way into the international marketplace, achieving successful results even in the most difficult situations. History Like many of the small companies in the San Mauro Pascoli area on Italy's Adriatic coast, Baldinini dates from 1910, a period when many itinerant businesses moved into permanent premises.In those years the Baldinini family opened its first workshop with an adjoining sales outlet.This laid the foundations for what was to become,in the space of a few decades, a flourishing small business producing fashion footwear.Over two generations, it established and consolidatedan invaluable tradition, and the rkshop, whichoriginally crafted only made-to-measure products,thrived, extending its market from the local areato encompass all of Italy.In 1970 the baton was passed to Gimmi Baldinini,who represents the family's third generation.The ambitious expansion programs implemented under his stewardship have made the Baldinini name known roughout the world.A turning point in the company's evolution came when a new emphasis was injected into Baldinini footwear and the designs took on a fashion profile.The first shoes to bear the Baldinini name were timeless designs that required extensive manual input.The first important milestone was in 1974.This year is fixed in the company memory as theyear of the mule, a shoe that was a stunning success and is still remembered today because so many were made - 500 pairs a day, each one completely made
by hand.
